Weekly Edit - August 2nd
A mix of resources, recommended reading and favorite things - including a SAMPLE SALE for your favorite brand
Hey Creatives,
In case you missed it, I didn’t post a Weekly Edit last Thursday. I’ve decided to give it its own home. Here’s why: half of you show up for the recommendations, half of you show up for the essay, and cramming them into one post every week means everyone’s scrolling past a section they didn’t come for.
So here’s the new plan: the essay lands on Thursdays now, and the Weekly Edit drops in your inbox every Sunday, a round-up of what I’m watching, reading, wearing, and telling everyone about (whether they asked or not lol.)
Why Sunday? Because Sunday is made for finally reading that article you saved three weeks ago, hitting play on the podcast episode that’s been sitting in your queue, or splurging on that Ulla Johnson blouse that’s on sale, because you sold out your collection this week and you earned it.
I want these short, sweet, and still worth ten minutes of your Sunday. Enjoy.
The Weekly Edit
Updates: What’s going on with my different ventures…
Club Update: This week in the Club we discussed how we are moving more analog in our marketing and how this is FANTASTIC for artists. (Also was sent this read on the subject) Next week we are discussing working with interior designers. (not a members, join the waitlist here)
Podcast: The podcast is coming back this month!! Make sure you are subscribed!! In the meantime, listen to Friday’s replay episode with Brittany Smith.
Reading - Just finished this one: The narrator is highly unlikable (not as bad as Yesteryear, but she isn’t someone I’d want to hang out with haha) but it really adds to the story. The premise - the narrator’s “friend,” a highly successful author, shockingly passes away and the narrator steals her draft for her next book. What unfolds after had me sitting there with second-hand anxiety, but it made for a great read.
Now I’m starting this book - A twisty thriller taking place in the Suburbs of DC. It was recommended to me (actually both of these were) during my photoshoot at Ladybird books by the women working there!
ULLA JOHNSON SAMPLE SALE! - up to 70% off!
Wearing and Wanting
I️ was gifted these bras and they are truly the softest thing I️ have ever put on my body, and they actually get the job done unlike bralettes and other “soft bras”.
For Your Home -
Love this gift idea - frame your friend’s wedding matches or their favorite restaurant’s matches if they are moving!
Was just sent this little “candle coaster” and I️ think it’s the cutest list accessory.
